DRASTIC

DRASTIC is a joint effort of 23 partners from 8 European countries, with VITO/EnergyVille functioning as both project and technical coordinator.  The project will pave the way for significant whole life-cycle environmental impact reduction in new construction and (deep-energy) retrofit by demonstrating affordable innovative circular solutions in 5 different geographical zones in Europe.

      • OMTRE: Norwegian research organization tasked with recovering timber in a circular value-chain, targeting 8% of Norway's climate commitment.
    • PRODUKTIF WORKS AS:  a design for assembly and disassembly (DFAD) industrial process
    • OUTLINE ARKITEKTUR:  architectural design

Demonstrators

    • SHED 1 / MILL (MVP-2):  Kongshaug Guest Lodge acts as a pilot client for the Produktif construction system.  MV-2 is a simple mass-custom modular CLICK-WORKS-FLOW value offering.  MVP-2 reuses connectors from MVP-1, adding a foundation and ground-connection element in triangulation (cross-brazing)
    • SHED 2 (MVP-3): OMTRE acts as a client of MV-3, a mass-customized functional building expanding upon MVP-1 and -2  expanding on the manufacturability methods that link standard objects to a custom grid (O2G).  O2G introduces the WORKS-FLOW portion of the value offering linking industrial processes with a software platform that allows the AEC community to work directly with manufacturers (AEC+M).
