HOW ARE WE GOING TO BUILD TOMORROW?

Achieving circular construction implies making fundamental changes to how we build today. Our design & technology team works with industry partners to redefine how we are going to build tomorrow. As such we are a New Product Introduction (NPI) company with several Class 1 patents pending, including adaptations of these in the pipeline, and new product Classes 2 and 3 for future development (see Roadmap).

INTRODUCING CLICK/UNCLICK™ 1.0

Our first patents are pending for a new joinery system.
The innovative and reusable Click/Unclick™ system will transform the way we build and unlock the potential of modular construction. With the patents pending for our two first joints, we are one step closer to 4X faster assembly and 100% reuse in the construction industry.

Our first version of the Produktif joinery system is Click/Unclick™ 1.0

Click/Unclick™  1.0

  • Consists of the OJoint and Cjoint, both patent pending technologies, that are adaptable to future clients’ existing construction systems (mass-custom).
  • Makes it possible to manually assemble and disassemble any structural frame using our click/unclick joinery system.
  • Is developed specifically for the hybrid modular construction market segments, Hybrid modular means combining flatpack (2D modules) with functional PODS (3D modules). The hybrid modular approach focuses on optimizing the product’s entire lifecycle (see Value Chain).

The CJoint

The basic construction joint is the 90 degrees joint. Our Click/Unclick™ system uses the CJoint elements to allow fast, safe, onsite hand assembly. This assembly requires no tools. The CJoint is designed to facilitate easy deconstruction to secure the reuse of components.

The OJoint

Complex joints are often found in roof, foundations, and special building features. The Click/Unclick™ system uses the OJoint element to allow for beams connecting at any angle. The OJoint element, similar to other Click/Unclick™ system elements, enables fast, safe, onsite hand assembly.

NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION ROADMAP

We have several patents pending for currently created systems and we will continuously design subsequent developments, solutions and products.

Click/Unclick™ 1.0 is the Class 1 load-bearing joinery system that is currently in testing and prototyping. Together with industry PARTNERS we are currently planning pilot projects and preparing for commercial distribution agreements.

Subsequent developments include Class 2 MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) systems for partitions and functional PODs (fully prefabricated units), and Class 3 finishes and accessory systems that can be joined to the structural Class 1 components.

INTERCHANGEABLE PARTS

Produktif introduces standardized and scalable joinery solutions that are designed for mass customization.

We design our parts for offsite production and modular assembly according to a circular value chain. Architects, engineers, and construction professionals (AECs) can use our parts for any construction, small or large, temporary, or permanent, new or retrofit.

INFORMATION-DRIVEN DESIGN

The construction industry can gain large efficiency improvements by employing the already available digital tools and methods to increase cooperation through the construction process. The Produktif TEAM and PARTNERS focus on developing digital libraries of joinery solutions, digital tools and methods for the architects, engineers and construction (AEC) community. The next step will be to make our industrial systems available for AEC professionals.

DIGITAL PLATFORM:

As we reinvent the construction process with click together joints and components, we have recognized that there are elements in all aspects of the construction process - from idea, to design, to construction, to maintenance, and even end-of-life - that can be reinvented. Fortunately, we are witnessing that manufacturing is rapidly adopting digital tools and methods.

Produktif is teaming with industry leaders in the fields of data management, Customer Resource Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Building Information Modelling technology (BIM), Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), project management, and analytics. This platform can reduce friction throughout the construction process, leading to more accurate estimates, faster project completion, and better insight in project performance and building system management.
